Mini ball valve M./F. Brass Article 81

MINI ball valve.

For water for sanitary and heating/cooling systems, compressed air, non-hazardous gases and liquid hydrocarbons, not suitable for use with saturated steam.

Available with the following threading: EN 10226 (EX ISO 7) - Male / female

Maximum working temperature: 80° C - in absence of steam

Installation Mini ball valve M./F. Brass Article 81:

To properly install your ball valve: Make sure the pipes are properly aligned.

Place the tightening wrench in the part of the valve closest to the pipe.

Do not overuse sealing materials such as (PTFE or others), use them on the threads only.

If there are impurities in the medium (such as limestone, dust or sand), install a filter to prevent damage to the ball and seals.

Removal: Place the tightening wrench on the part of the valve closest to the pipe. Relieve the pressure in the system by opening the valve and allowing the fluid to escape; unscrew the connections from the valve.

Maintenance Mini Ball Valve M./F. Brass Article 81:

It is important to perform periodic checks to ensure that the valve is in optimum condition.

The valve is supplied in the open position. Opening and closing is accomplished by a 90° rotation of the handle. In the open position, the handle is in a parallel position with respect to the valve body, while in the closed position the handle is at right angles to the valve body.

The ball valve is a shut-off valve and not a regulating valve, therefore it must be fully opened or closed; if left in the intermediate position, the seals could be damaged.

Only in case it is necessary to empty the system, (e.g. to prevent problems arising from the freezing of the liquid inside the system), the valve can be opened in an intermediate position (45°) until the liquid is completely drained, only after this operation the valve can be fully opened.

It is suggested not to use the ball valve with liquids that present/have inside them abrasive suspensions.
